A strong performance from Sherco’s Dan Peace sees him break free of the pack and take the lead in the 2024 SSDT. A day score of two marks lost sees him move one clear in the overall classification ahead of Jack Price and Jack Peace (both also Sherco mounted) who are now tied for second on four marks apiece.

Four riders ended the day for a loss of two marks – Dan Peace, Dougie Lampkin, Richard Sadler and Arnau Farre - while the two Jacks, Price and Peace, Gary Macdonald and Michael Brown completed the 26 sections for a loss of three marks.

With the Peace brothers riding together, neither is going to gain an advantage from late/early day starts and fourth-placed Lampkin is near them in the running order too. Jack Price starts a little earlier in the running order with Gary Macdonald slightly behind. With start numbers of 78 and 31, Harry Hemingway and Richard Sadler, will benefit from a later start on Wednesday which could liven things up as they’re both very much still in contention.

Day Three is a long one and starts with sections at Callart, Lower Mamore and School House Falls before Grey Mair Tail and the iconic Pipeline sections. Loch Eilde comes next with Carn Dearg and Bradileg bringing riders to the rest stop. Achintee, Ben Nevis and Glen Nevis will wrap things up.
