Simply stunning scenery and a very fast and flowing Hare Scrambles track was on offer at the latest WOR Events Putoline Hare Scrambles round six

Staged among the stunning Snowdonia Mountains and against a massive collection of daunting wind turbines, the five-mile track had a demanding intensity to it that saw had many a rider having fuel issues, as well as body fatigue as the fast pace took its toll.

Throw in some incredibly strong wind and the scene was set for a very interesting race.

First man back to the Lap Tracking Zone was Hard Enduro star Paul Bolton,  getting to grips out on his new 2017 KTM for the first time.

Returning to WOR where his transition from trials to Enduro started back in 2001, it was nice to see the smooth and effortless style is still there.

Young CF Racing Husqvarna rider Rossi Davies was on top form too and he never let Bolton get too far away from him at any stage of the race, even taking the lead at one point after a fair crash from Bolton let the youngster through.

By the end Bolton was 68 seconds ahead, with him and Davies on 16 laps each.

Third spot went to Craig Reynolds.

Lincoln Brewster was like a man possessed in the Expert Vets and after Chris Wagstaff had led from start to finish with a very neat ride, it was just quick a sighting of the back of the Yamaha rider that Brewster needed to pursue Waggy.

A last-lap crash and puncture was unkind to Wagstaff and allowed the hard-charging Brewster to nip through for a hard-earned win, with David Haith third.

The Clubman class had some epic battles going on, too, with Harry Houghton (KTM) battling fellow youth Trials Rider and WOR Clubman front-runner, Ryan Shacklady (KTM)  for the entire race.

Both riders completed 15 laps with a two-minute advantage for Houghton.

Third spot went to Ieuan Brooks.

Chris Berry on his new KTM 4T was the winner in the Clubman Vets class.

John Jones was well out in front right up till the last lap when he ran out of juice, while runner-up was David Wright, an old-school WOR rider making a welcome return to the racing.

Stacey Greensall was third.

The rest of the classes were in a two-hour duration race and the top man in that was again Over 50s rider Colin Griffiths.

Griffiths placed his KTM 300 at the top of his class with an extra lap to his credit, on paper at least, from Duncan Humphreys on his brand new 350 Husky ahead of Gareth Jones.

Local Rider Ed Fear (KTM) did a great job in the Sportsman as he took the win by just over a minute from Sam Myatt (SHERCO) with Matt Connell (SHERCO) in third spot.

All three riders completed 11 laps of the demanding hare scrambles course.

Top Sportsman Vet went to Emrys Price as he edged a 24-second advantage over fellow KTM rider and runner-up, Rob Parry.

A further two minutes behind on the same lap, was Shane Marriott, making the 326-mile round-trip worthwhile by going home with a well-earned gong.

The Youth class saw Rob Francom take the win from Archie Collier with Jack Griffith in third.

Novice riders where headed home by the hard-charging Steve Farthing with Ben Martindale in a solid second and local rider and WOR Events Buddy, Dava Moore a well-earned third.
