OVER 80 eager Waltham Chase MCC riders were at the Vine Hotel in the New Forest to relieve their hard earned awards for 2007 from the ACU Official, Terry Graves. The special icing on the cake for the evening was a set of training day vouchers, courtesy of Steve Saunders, writes BERNARD TYRER. Regular attendees will note the repeat winners of the championship classes headed by Josh Hill, Matty Marsh, Richard Miles, and Ryan Jones keeping the Youth A, B, C, D and TY classes while Tom Latham bagging the Experts and Mark Parry-Norton in the Inters. Tony Billingham and Tony Reynolds kept the Vets A and B while the Senior of the Marsh family, Neil, his years work by holding on to the Twinshock B, with the younger of the Reynolds clan, Daniel, keeping dad company by winning the Beginners.
Matty Marsh and Dan Marsh took home the Youth B and TY80 in the Youth and Wobblers series. Wobblers A went to Dan Mickierman and Andrea Gray took home the B Group. Also, just to make sure the Marsh clan went home with an armful of silverware, Danny took the Best Youth Improver with Matthew the Best Youth B rider
Expert Brian Francis claimed the Hobnail Trial with the Intermediates going to Mark Parry-Norton, it was then back to Francis again for the Sammy Miller award, and just to complete the trio, it was again Brian taking home the Geoff Chandler pot.
