Alan's back on full form

AFTER suffering with chest and breathing problems that disrupted most of the 2008 season, 18-year-old Alan Keet, from Bordon, Hants, will be hoping to get his highly promising motocross career well and truly back on track this time around. As a 16-year-old, Alan started the 2007 season like an express train in Maxxis action at Matchams Park but a series of set-backs have hindered progress over the past 18 months.
At the weekend, Allan spent just ten minutes running in a new Kawasaki KX250F before setting off for Polesworth in a 350-mile round trip to compete in the final round of this year's Moto Goo championship.
With just a couple of sighting laps under his belt on a course he hadn't ridden for five years, it didn't take the talented South coast youngster too long to slip back into the groove and the winning way.
Alan explained that the day had been a good work-out and declared himself almost back to full fitness after his three winning rides in the Four-stroke Open class.
Over the past couple of months, Allan has been training hard on a 450 to build up strength and stamina and has just reverted back to the 250F in time for the opening round of the Under 21 Series at Little Silver this coming weekend.
This season's plan is to run in both Maxxis MX2 and the Under 21 series as a Kawasaki privateer to begin with.
However, if anyone is looking for a red-hot talent to fly the flag for them this season, you can contact Alan by e-mail alankeet@hotmail.co.uk
