All ready to Butt heads!
By TMX Archives on 1st Apr 10

The third round of the popular Putline XC Championship is all set to run at a new venue on Sunday April 11. The Butts Quarry, near Ashover, Derbyshire, will play host to round three and already looks set to be a cracker.
The second round was very competitive at Buildwas with Putoline Suzuki's Tom Sagar claiming his second victory of the 2010 series in the XC1 class, but with Sagar away on WEC duties, last season's champion, James Jackman is hoping to capitalise on Sagar's absence and add a victory to his previous good results aboard his Poole Yamaha.
Butts Quarry will provide a variety of challenges for both Junior and Adult riders and entries are filling fast. Although Fast Eddy is riding the first day in the Spanish WEC, he is returning to oversee the event before jetting off to the Portuguese WEC round the following week.
The course will be set by the Fast Eddy crew in the run-up and everything is planned ahead of schedule to make sure the event runs like clockwork. As usual the XC Youth riders will be first off on the Sunday morning followed by the afternoon race for adults.
Classes for the Youth race will be XC Auto, XC 65, XC SW85, XC 85-150 (this will be split for the championship points) and XC Girls.
Entries for the Youth race are £30. Classes for the Adults are XC Pro/Expert, XC Clubman, XC Sportsman, XC Vets and XC Hobby/Novice and XC Youth (14-16yr old). Entries for the Adult race are just £40. The Youth race will start at 10am and the Adult race will start at 12 noon.
