Following a three-week break, the fourth and final round of the ACU British Trials Championships heads into the deepest corner Northern Centre this weekend, September 15, at Fell Green, Bootle.

The Lakes MTA crew know this piece of land like the back of their hand and they promise to put on a fantastic traditional ‘no-stop' trial.

Those who have ridden the Lakes Two-Day Trial, which utilises some of the land on Fell Green, will know just how great this piece of earth is for providing challenging sections that will allow the Championship contenders to show their skills to maximum effect.

It really does promise to be a fantastic finale to a cracking British Championship.

In the Championship class, just three points separate top runners Dames Dabill and Michael Brown.

Dabill has claimed two wins from the West of England and Richmond's events, while Brown took victory at Neath. So everything really does rest on who can master the ‘Fell'.

Sitting in third place is Jotagas rider Ross Danby.

Danby started the season well with two podiums, however a disappointing result at Richmond left him down the order in eight.

He now sits just one point ahead of Sam Connor, and just three in front of Alexz Wigg.

Wigg is sure to come out all guns blazing after a confidence boosting ride at Richmond placed him third the podium.

In the Expert class Sherco-mounted Daren Brice has a comfortable lead over Jack Stones (11-points).

Brice not only has the lead going into the final round, but he will be tough to beat riding on home turf.

Don't count out the other talent in the class though, as Tom Aflfeck, Richard Timperley, Josh Woods and Buster Regan have all previously taken wins at this level.

Spectators should pop LA19 5UH in the Sat Nav (Fell Green, Bootle, Cumbria), and be ready for the action to kick off at 9.30 am.

Catering will be available throughout the event.

Overnight camping is on offer but there is no fresh water on site.

The event will start at 9.30am Sunday morning when the Experts will be first away.

There is the usual two hours 30 time allowance for the completion of lap one and a five-hour overall limit. By mid-afternoon Sunday we should know who our 2013 Champions are.
