Brilliant entry for Rhayader finale!

RHAYADER and DMCC will once again play host to some of the nation's hottest riders when it stages the final round of its Welsh Open Motocross series at Cwmythig Hill next Wednesday evening, July 8. There has been a great turnout of nearly 3,000 spectators to watch the previous two rounds of the series, sponsored by PAR Homes Ltd and Bache's Bargains.
There's also been some great racing on the spectacular hillside circuit just outside Rhayader, Mid-Wales, which is littered with 'all action' jumps and also features a breath-taking downhill ski jump, 'wall of death' berm, the new whoop section plus the infamous 65-foot finish line table-top jump.
A brilliant national class entry will be in action, led by series leader Brad Anderson (PAR Honda), New Zealand ace Scott Columb (Relentless Suzuki) and former GP regular James Noble. Also on the cards and hoping to challenge that trio are Alex Snow (Red Bull KTM), Welsh ace Jamie Lewis and Irish hotshot Martin Barr. Other names competing include Wayne Smith, Scott Elderfield and Jamie Law.
With practice at 6.15pm and the first race at 6.45pm, a slickly run 11-race programme is planned, with each class getting three races.
The final race of the night is the big money Grand Final 'Dash for Cash' where all the evening's top runners get the chance to win some real money.
The track, all of which can can be seen from one vantage point, has again been fully prepared for this final round.
The club is also laying on a firework display after the Grand Final to mark the end to this year's series.
Entry fee is just £5 for adults while children under 14 go free.
As well as the ten races, there will be children's quad bike rides, bouncy castles, refreshments, licensed bar, a tarmac drive leading into the circuit with excellent hard parking and permanent toilets – everything, in fact, for the family to enjoy a night out in the open.
There are still entries available and an extra £1,000 has added to the prize fund, in addition to the already fantastic prize money available. The top expert on the night can take home around £700!

July 8 is the night – this is the big one!
