ALBERT Cabestany has entered the 2010 Scottish Six Days Trial (May 3 - 8) and the factory Sherco rider is looking to give Dougie Lampkin a hard time for the Premier.

Cabes could well be a real challenger as his steady, straightforward approach to sections will suit the natural Scottish hazards. Doug, last year's winner, is in the frame yet again along with cousin James in the 275-strong provisional list. Once again the event was over-subscribed with around 60 hopefuls being unsuccessful in the ballot. All riders who have secured an entry will have been informed by the club as you read this. Some of those who failed to make it through the ballot may still get a ride as they will be on a reserve list and will hope to take advantage should someone drop out.

There is always a familiar look to the entry list, as so many riders become hooked on the Scottish and enter year after year, but the wheel of progress continues to turn and no fewer than 62 of the 2010 entry list are newcomers.
