Cotswold's third strike

FOR the third year in a row the Cotswold club, as reigning champions, hosted what proved to be by common consent the best and most popular event on the BSMA calendar, the team championship, at Bromyard, in Worcestershire.
Marc Gunter got the show on the road on day onewith a blistering AMX win for the home club. This could have been anominous sign of things to come but by the end of day one there werejust over 100 points separating Cotswold and Ringwood, so the title wasdefinitely up for grabs.
Greg Evans for Ringwood, with a 1-2-3 racecard,and Jack Wilson for East Kent proved to be in a class of there own onday one in the Junior 65cc class, sharing the race wins out 2-1 inJac'ks favour. Greg suffered with a little bit of bad luck on day twobut Jack posted three more cracking results to finish as top individualpoints scorer.
However, this event is all about team work and theCotswold 65 crew blasted everyone away on day two. Danny Lanfearlooking a class act with two race wins and Robert Yates riding superblyfor the final win, well backed up by Taylor Vernon and Josh Newell fora convincing win over East Kent for whom Jordan Moxey ably assistedJack Wilson in the points collecting department.
