Double for Jordi
By TMX Archives on 14th Apr 10

Jordi Tixier led a KTM 1-2-3 in the inaugural round of the Euro 125cc series at Mantova on Sunday the French teenager was already dominant in his qualifier on Saturday and simply ran away with both points-scoring motos.Teenagers from 12 countries made the main programme as 61 kids contested qualification, and the series is already predestined to replace the EMX2 series as the feeder class for the GPs. Jordan Booker and Ryan Houghton made the journey to Italy from the UK.
Boooker (17) from Bristol came round dead last from the usual Mantova first lap chaos in the opening moto before chasing through to 26th, but turned it round in race two to run leader-board all moto and score a deserved fifth.
A week after his 15th birthday, British 85cc champ Houghton only scored a single point on race day, but had already proved his competitiveness with a storming fourth place in the qualifier on Saturday and more can be expected from both youngsters.
