The opening round of the British Extreme Enduro Championship is, once again, the only event where the top three extreme riders in the country will compete head-to-head.

David Knight and Graham Jarvis will have to make some room in the spotlight as they are joined by current British Extreme Enduro Champion, KTM Factory rider Jonny Walker and Gas Gas teamster Danny McCanney in the starting line-up for Eddy's Xtreme Enduro at Tong on January 27.

Title holder, Walker, is considered to be one of the best young extreme riders around and he completes what many people consider to be the UK's ‘top three' extreme riders, alongside Knight and Jarvis, and will be eager to post his first home win of the season.

Although McCanney isn't an extreme specialist he is a very talented and versatile rider and recent results, where he finished just behind Jarvis and Walker at the Tough One, have prompted him to confirm his place in the starting line up.

Paul Edmondson: "I'm really pleased that Jonny and Danny are able to make it to the event. It will be a ‘Clash of the Titans' as far as most people are concerned but as with any extreme event, anything can happen.

"Paul Bolton and the Hemingway brothers are riding really well and the quality of Pro riders entered for the event is second to none.”

The Tong event could be the definitive race of the season for many riders and spectators with the top British riders competing on home soil for a British title.
