THE Westwood venue nearly Barnsley in Yorkshire is all ready to receive a world class line-up on Sunday for the Total Extreme event with the top stars like Graham Jarvis who is currently one of the worlds top extreme riders and Dougie Lampkin, 12 times world trials champion and fresh from his recent extreme win in Portugal. Fingers crossed that Doug recovers from the ankle troubles that stopped him riding in last Saturdays Scott trial.
Doug's cousins Ben and Dan Hemingway are down to ride, as is ironman Paul Bolton, vet Mark Jackson, regular Hare and Hounds winner Harry Hillas - then throw in the current top British trials riders James Dabill, Michael Brown, Alexz Wigg and you realise what a great line-up total extreme has.
The specially constructed course is spectacular with rock gardens, awkward logs, tyre sections and all with great viewing for spectators. The action starts on Sunday at 9am with practice followed by the first of the Extreme races. In between the races the Broke Freestyle MX team will entertain the crowds.
The Total Enduro team have put together a mega day of off-road motorcycle action with a comprehensive trade village featuring new bikes from Gas Gas, Beta, Honda, Montesa, KTM, so there's something for everyone at Westwood. There'll also be race commentary and interviews from the entertaining and knowledgeable Wayne Kershaw so you can keep up with what's going on on track.
The Westwood venue is centrally placed just off Jnc 36 on the M1 between Sheffield and Barnsley. Gates open at 7am.
