NIGEL Birkett, of UK Scorpa Importers Birkett Motosport, and Steve Brookes, Area Manager for Putoline Motorcycle Oils, recently shook hands on a deal that sees the French Yamaha-engined machines join forces with the bike only' lubricant specialist for the 2008 season.
The tie-up will see all official Scorpa bikes and riders run the blue and yellow colours of Putoline as well as being recommended to the Scorpa dealer network.
Steve Brookes commented Whilst Putoline have the largest range of off-road products in the world, we felt we needed better exposure in the trials arena. Scorpa are a great brand and are constantly improving, we've been talking to Nigel for a long time and are delighted to have tied up a deal that will benefit both parties now and for the long term future.
Nigel commented We are very proud to be associated with the Putoline brand for 2008, I personally have followed Putoline from their grass roots origin as an off-road brand with worldwide credibility. Our riders Joe Baker (2007 British Expert Champion), Darren Brice (2004 British Expert Champion) and John Crinson (2006 Novogar British Champion) along with all other official Birkett Motosport/ Scorpa team riders will be using Putoline and we will be recommending the brand to our dealer network for the foreseeable future.
