Aaron Ebbitt was on top form for the qualifying session at round four of the NoraSport National Quad Supermoto Champs, at Teesside Autodrome, Teesside, although Colin Jackson was only a fraction behind him.
Going into the first race Mike Taylor took the early lead and stayed firmly at the front, despite Ebbitt pressing him for the duration of the race.
On the final lap, however, Jackson clinched the second spot, relegating Ebbitt to third, with Gareth Thomas in fourth. In race two, Jackson was the quickest off the line, but he was chased relentlessly by Taylor who then unseated himself going into the dirt section. Ebbitt was the fastest man on the track in this race and he took the top spot away from Jackson in the final few laps, leaving Thomas in third and Joe Hodgson in fourth.
Jackson was the first into the dirt section in the final Quad race, but Ebbitt claimed the lead going into lap two. From that point he continued to extend his lead on Jackson and these two maintained their positions until the chequered flag.
Thomas maintained his speed throughout to keep third place secure, and this left fourth spot for Taylor who had battled from the back of the pack.
Clinton Carey who had been in fourth spot for the majority of the race unfortunately failed to finish the race. At the end of race day Aaron Ebbitt had the best of the points ahead of Colin Jackson while Mike Taylor and Gareth Jones tied on their points tally for the day with 77-points each.
