AFTER another cracking real' Hare and Hounds event at Lee Dell, Rochdale, now under its belt, and with just enough time to have everything cleaned up and prepped again for this weekend's fixture round four of the Hare and Hound series, rideoffroaduk has set its sights firmly on making its first visit to the superb Butts Quarry venue, near Matlock, yet another quality event for everyone in attendance.
Clerk of the course, Wayne Braybrook, has some ideas to change the course around to liven things up a bit for anyone who has visited this venue before.
The emphasis will still be on a track that is easy to negotiate, so that the competition element is kept alive between battling friends and rivals. The woodland and motocross course make the perfect venue for an outstanding event at this time of year.
With entries coming in pretty quickly, and with the short turn around from the Bank Holiday period, the club has issued a reminder to all riders to get their entry forms sent in ready for this weekend, if you haven't done so already.
With the weather forecast looking good for the weekend, it should give the Butts Quarry venue a fresh new feel for those who have only visited this track during the dark winter months.
Camping is available on Saturday for £5, the charge set by the landowner.
Entries will be open until the event is full, for entry forms visit the website – www.rideoffroaduk.co.uk – or call Wayne Braybrook on 07802-572023.
