LPE KAWASAKI'S Ryan Voase was a very happy chappie last Sunday as he rode magnificently to take his first win at a Putoline XC Championship round, beating Paul Edmondson in the process.
The second round of the Putoline XC Championship took place lastweekend at Boreton Farm, Shrewsbury where a massive entry and dozens ofspectators gave the event a real buzz.
Big, open fields really gave riders the chance to have a blast andnone more so than Voase, who won the Pro class on his KX250 by over twominutes from nearest rival Paul Edmondson on his Maximum SolutionsRM250.
Good weather throughout the weekend had left the course in perfectcondition and, despite a few ruts ap-pearing, it rode well and had abit of everything. The course was fast with plenty of field sections,which suited those from a motocross background, plus a few jumps,whoops, twisty wooded areas and a stream which was crossed twice butnot in the usual manner. Paul Edmondson gave due consideration toenvironmental issues and arranged for two bridges to be constructed byRob Garbett and his crew from Scaffold Services, who did a veryimpressive job.
