WOR Events has a busy schedule at Robins Mountain, Abergele, this weekend, October 4/5. The course has been revised and reworked to offer riders some easier and less demanding going.
After seeing how riders enjoyed the ‘easier' going at Halsten Hall a few weeks back the WOR course builders are aiming to make the Robins Mountain course a little different and lose some of the very bumpy and rocky woods sections.
The track crew have been briefed and will endeavour to link up some flowing farm tracks with some fresh grassland going and use only the easier woodland sections. The ride time will still be around the eight to ten-minute mark for faster riders.
On Saturday there will be the usual Race Exp Day with practice, advice and a mini-race taking up six-hours. Then at 10am on Sunday, the race will kick off with the usual 2-hr and 3-hr classes combined in one event.
WOR will run a new event to its race calendar at Ashby de la Zouch the following weekend. On Saturday, October 11, the WOR team will be running a Stubble-cross Moto Duro.
The opportunity has arisen to stage a nice and easy, flowing race that will be solely on the huge Leicestershire farmlands (no woods) offering riders of all abilities and classes the chance to get their bikes wound up and have some fun.
The day will include two one-hour races, one starting at 11am and the other at 1pm. Each race will have separate trophies and results.
There will be classes for Expert, Clubman, Over 40, Sportsman, Novice and Youth 14-16.
Motocross riders will be welcome, but bikes must be quiet and exhausts repacked.
Entries will be limited to 150, so riders are once again urged to book-in ASAP.
Entries for both weekends are available now by simply calling Ian Smart on 07944-378432 or by visiting the www.worevents.com website.
