THE British Round of the 2012 FIM World Trials Championship, the Lloyds TRC British Trial GP, which will be staged at Nord Vue near Penrith on the weekend July 27/28/29 is only five weeks away! And there will be two Youth trials to complement the action-packed weekend!

Event director John Kerwin, who staged a successful trial in 2009, said this week: "We are working flat out on the trial and have enlisted the help of local clubs and the Northern Centre in order to deliver a first-class trial.

"Graham Jarvis has already redesigned the sections to make the trial more spectacular and to test the riders, as he felt the standard of riding has moved on from 2009.

"Those of you who came in 2009 will remember just how good the viewing of the sections was.

"This has been improved giving greater quality access to more action for trials fans.

"Even the furthest sections at the venue are no more than five minutes walk away from the start, so you can follow your favourite rider right from section one to number 15.

"The trade area has been enhanced, with representation from most of the UK's trials importers, along with a selection of high profile off-road shops.”

Kerwin added: "On Friday and Saturday evenings we give the UK's youth trials riders a chance to shine.

"On Friday evening we have an E-trial open to all makes of electric bike and on Saturday evening it's the chance of those with small petrol engined machines, the C and D riders.

"We will have a presentation of awards on the main stage after each event. Entries for the Youth events are via the Lakes Grass Track Racing Club contact, Anthony Hayhurst.

"Be quick to enter though as we expect the youth Trials to fill fast.

"Reduced price tickets for the trial are still on offer on the www.britishtrialgp.com site until July 1. Ticket price includes a free souvenir programme.”

Due to popular demand the organisers are going to open the camp site on Thursday, July 26, closing Monday, July 30 at 10am.

The camp site is only a couple of minutes' walk from the action and on Friday and Saturday evening there will be a camp site bar with entertainment.

This is your only chance this year to see the World's top riders in action outdoors. World Champ Toni Bou is currently on top form and will be out to put on a great show as the British round is the last round of the year.

It is also your chance to cheer on the Brits with James Dabill, Michael Brown, Jack Challoner, Alexz Wigg, Jack Sheppard and latest Youth sensation Bradley Cox all in action.

The place to be on the weekend July 27-29 is Nord Vue, Penrith, Cumbria – just off the M6.
