Life’s a Gas Gas for Adam Raga!
By TMX Archives on 9th Nov 12

Following last weeks unexpected news that 19 year-old Pol Tarres had signed for Sherco, moving away from his uncle Jordis Jotagas squad, comes the less surprising release that Adam Raga has once again signed on the dotted line for long time employer Gas Gas in a new two year deal.
Adam (30) has been associated with Gas Gas ever since he turned professional and even before then when he was initially ‘discovered' and nurtured through his early years by Andreu Codina who was the public face of Gas Gas for many years.
Raga won two outdoor World Championships, following-up seven years of Dougie Lampkin rule (1997 - 2003) and a single year at the top for Japan's only trials world champ Takahisa Fujinami (2004) with two wins of his own in 2005 before the six year (and still counting) reign of Toni Bou.
Adam has the impressive although somewhat unenviable record of having finished runner-up to Bou in each year of his reign.
On top of his outdoor successes Adam also boasts four World Indoor crowns taking the title from 2003 to 2006 inclusive.
2012 saw a very close end to the outdoor season with Raga only just claming the vice champion's slot in the final round which was the British at Nord Vue, Penrith, where he eventually fended off the injured Jeroni Fajardo who had his best season to date on Beta.
Since the end of the world championship season there have been reports from very reliable sources of Adam having been associated with several different marques.
At 30 Adam is now looking towards the end of his career and naturally wants the best deal.
Gas Gas clearly wanted to extend their relationship with Adam which has been very productive both from results and from sales of the highly rated Raga Replicas.
These top selling limited edition models are traditionally launched early each year and have always been top sellers.
