Margate time

THE sand on Margate main beach will once again be pushed around and shaped into jumps and whoops by the Ovenden Plant machines for the 2010 QRA Margate Beach Cross Racing weekend on March 6/7.
There will be races for Adult and Youth Quads plus Solos in the minimum of ten races, taking in both Saturday and Sunday with the action kicking off at 9.30am both days.
As ever, it is free for spectators and the backdrop to the action on the beach is a fairground, market stalls and the town of Margate itself with all its attractions, hotels and bars. So even if you don't want to race, why not get along and join the regular 15,000 plus crowd for a great weekend.
Reigning King Of Margate and ten-times ACU British Quad Champion Paul Winrow will be out to retain his title on his KTM debut. He is certain to be pushed all the way by French sand specialist Jrome Bricheux who is crossing the channel once again and bringing several European mates with him.
Winrow is also riding in the Solo class races so we will see how fit the reigning British champ really is.
In addition to the Adult classes, the 200/250cc Youth Quads will again join the action, with Harry Miller and team mate Jak Griffiths of Jaks Quads both looking to lift the Youth title.
The Pieman has bet me that I can't finish a race and so I have once again risen to the bait and brushed the sand off my number zero plate to prove him right. Or will I? I might have been training with Coley. I might have been in the gym. I might have been on a diet. I might have been.... Well... at least get along and cheer me on.
Now what shall I ride this time....
