AS announced in the MX Diary last week (page 32) Mark Jones has now confirmed that he will ride for the Wulfsport Kawasaki team in 2007 on a full World Championship and British Open Championship programme.
The 27-year-old Welshman will race out of the team's new base in Belgium on a development KX450F with Roger Magee as Team Manager, working closely with the official Jan de Groot Kawasaki Race team.
Following a strong showing in last year's World Championship, although restricted to four wildcard rides and his fourth overall in the British Open Championship, Mark is looking forwards to re-asserting himself on the global scene.
Jones, who was a team-mate of world champion Stefan Everts in the past said: ''I'm well pumped to get back into the GPs on a full-time basis. The last few years have been pretty tough as I knew I had the speed to get back in there and fight with the top ten guy's in the world but dipping in and out was hard.
''I will be going out to stay in Belgium in the next few weeks with team-mate Shaun Simpson to get ready for the season, with the Mantova International in Italy being my first planned race.
''I haven't had much experience on Kawasakis during my adult career so it will be a fantastic experience all round.''
