Mitchell goes to War'

ROUNDS one and two of the IOPD British Junior Enduro Championship, run by Wyre Forest Off-Road, took place at Winkworth Farm, Lea, with the circuit in perfect condition and glorious sunshine all weekend.The track comprised some very fast field sections with some motocross style table-top jumps and a mile of technical woodland.
First out on Saturday, the Auto 50cc class, saw Ryan Rowlands take the win with Archie Hicks second and Dylan Spencer third. Day two, with the track reversed, saw Archie take the win with Zac Clarke second and Dyland Spencer third.
Race two saw the Quads take to the track. Danny Lloyd took first place with Harry Timbrell second and Thomas Downes third. On Day two, Danny Lloyd took his second win of the weekend with Jamie Morgan second and Jak Griffiths third.
In the Auto Quad Over 10 class, Luke Davies won on the Saturday with Harry Miller second and Harry Brennan third. Elliot Downes took the win on Sunday with Jordan Hickman in second and Alex Anderson third.
The Under 10 class saw Jack Harvey win on Saturday with Max Allen second and Lucy Davies third. Sunday saw Matty Morris take the win with George Betton second and Max Allen third.
Race three on Saturday made way for the Solo classes and Liam Garbett completely dominated from start to finish, holding the fastest lap time all weekend. Nathan Holtby took second on Saturday and Luke Smith third. Sunday saw Holtby struggle from blisters, giving Smith the chance to take second place with Holtby third.
In the Over 13 85cc class, Jon Hill and Andrew Bull battled none stop. Jon managed to take the win but ended up crashing out on Sunday, giving him a lot of work to do to claw his way back through the pack to finish third. Andy Bull took second place on Saturday and a win on Sunday. Chris Loddington had a successful weekend with third and second place finishes.
Oli Benton topped the Under 13 85cc class on Saturday but bike problems on the second lap on Sunday forced a DNF. Adam James took second on Saturday and first on Sunday. Vinnie Brown got third on Saturday with Katie Walker third on Sunday.
In the 65cc class, Mitchell Warhurst took wins on both days but didn't get an easy ride as Ben Coleman pushed him all the way to the line. Sunday saw Jack Law return to his normal form and a second place podium finsh with Joe Gwyther in third again.
Organiser, Rob Garbett, would like to say a big thank you for all the rider support and to all the marshalls who gave up their free time to help make the club such a success.
Rounds three and four of the series are on April 25/26 at Coney Green Farm, Stourport-on-Severn.
