No mercy at Bercy

The seventh and final round of the 2012 World X-Trial Championship will take place this Saturday in the fabulous Bercy Stadium in Paris, a fitting venue for the series.
Toni Bou has already tied-up the title, which was sewn-up in Milan two weeks ago with his sixth win of the series – which aptly gave the Repsol Montesa ace his sixth consecutive Indoor Trials Title, a new record which overtook our own Dougie Lampkin's five-on-the-trot crowns.
Bou will naturally want to sign-off with a full house seven-from-seven wins and although he has been pushed close in the last few rounds, by the battling Albert Cabestany (Sherco) and Gas Gas number one Adam Raga few would bet against a Bou clean sweep.
However, it really couldn't be closer for the vice-champions placing as Cabestany and Raga go into the French arena absolutely level on points sitting on 78-apiece behind the incredible Bou's 120!
Takahisa Fujinami – Bou's Repsol Montesa team mate – sits alone in fourth place and whatever happens on Saturday Fujigas will remain in fourth.
He can't catch those in front while Jeroni Fajardo is 21 points behind, so even if the Beta star conjures up a win it won't do him any good in the standings.
Cabestany has been as steady as ever this season having always been a model of consistency.
Raga on the other hand has been his usual up-and-down self and this makes it impossible to choose between the two for Saturday's score.
Adam is as likely to pull out a spectacular clean that could make all the difference as he is to drop a shocking five which could just as easily drop him off the podium.
Not an easy call and it will make Saturday's trial that much more interesting.
For Britain's Michael Brown it is a final chance to progress on the X-Trial front having qualified for the series thanks to his excellent World Outdoor season last year.
Michael would love to make it into the Semi finals for a second time and he might just have a better chance of this on the French sections, which tend to be not quite as brutal as those found in Spain.
After Bercy, all the contestants will be moving their attentions outdoors again, as the World Championship kicks-off at La Bresse in France on the weekend of April 28/29.The seventh and final round of the 2012 World
