Pre-65 countdown on

THE countdown to the Edinburgh &DMCs 2015 Scottish Pre-65 Two Day Trial, which will take place on Friday/ Saturday, May 1/2, is now on in earnest.
After the entry was predictably over-subscribed, the all-important ballot has now taken place – and the 180 lucky riders guaranteed a ride in Kinlochleven have been informed!
Secretary Anne Gordon received no fewer than 297 entries which – after whittling out those whose bikes were deemed not eligible – were balloted.
A further ballot was then carried out from the remaining eligible entries for the 22 spaces on the reserve list.
This year there were fewer entries not making the ballot, due to components on the bikes that are not eligible, as communications between entrants and the club are improving.
The club's stand at the Telford Show early in the year was a great launching pad for new Machine Examiner Willie Stewart, to be able to speak to riders and advise them on what is and what isn't eligible.
