Quad clubs get together

THE three main ACU regional quad organizing clubs - NETT, NORA-MX and QRS - had a meeting at ACU headquarters last week to discuss the 2010 season. The Youth rules and regulations remain largely unchanged apart from the clarification that the Quadzilla Pro-Shark and the Apache 100cc and 50cc machines will be classed as standard if they are not modified in anyway whatsoever. There will be a new stock class added for the Yamaha Raptor 250, where the only changes to the machine will be, Nerf Bars, kill switch, steering damper and handlebars.
The British Youth Championship format will change and will now be decided at an end of season inter-club championship two day meeting in September 2010, at a GP circuit in central England. The UK Masters and Clubman titles also up for grabs at this end of season event. Qualification for this event will be by invitation, based on the rider's performance in the three club championships.
The main Adult ACU Quad British QX Championship will remain with the MMX series for 2010 and will run with the Solo Under 21 and Open classes over six rounds.
The three organising clubs will work together on 2010 dates and concentrate their efforts on the regional club championships and then organize the September two-day meeting together.
Well that all sounds straightforward and sensible...
