THE climax to the 2008 ACU British MMX Quad Championships takes place at Culham Moto Cross park, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire this Saturday and Sunday, September 20/21 and promises to be a cracking weekend for quad racing.
The QRA and NORA-MX have been working hard to make the weekend a great finale for the Quad championships.
The event is not a closed shop, not just for the ACU Youth or Adult ACU British MMX Quad Cross or ACU QRA British Quad Qualifier registered riders, but both days are open to anyone. It will also be round five of the NORA-MX club championship.
Entries are available in all Youth, Adult A, B and Over 35 to everyone. Some of the QRA Endurance championship riders are coming out for their first QX outing and everyone is welcome to compete on the same track as the Quad championship riders.
Racing for the Youth classes, ACU 50cc, 100cc, 200/250cc plus the Adult Open A Class on Saturday, September 20, gets under way with practice at 10am and the first race 11.15am.
Paul Winrow will be on hand to present the trophies at the end of the day.
Sunday, September 21 will see all the Adult classes in action with practice getting under way at 9.15am.
Paul Winrow may have already wrapped up his ninth ACU British title but many others are fighting for places. Winrow's Team Winrow Honda team-mate, Stef Murphy, will be hoping to celebrate his 18th birthday in style at the weekend by taking another podium and moving up for a certain top ten overall finish to the season.
So if you want to compete at what promises to be a first class weekend of Youth and Adult Quad Cross action then contact Gaynor Nash on 01264-354259 or Chris Murphy on 07860-668434.
