Sansom wins again...

FORTUNE and the sun shone once again on the Quad Magazine John Elliott Winter QuadX Championship at Horsham this weekend. Despite the dreadful weather in the days before the event, conditions were perfect - even the motorhomes didn't get stuck(!), much to the disappointment of all the riders who thought better of risking the mud this week.
All three races were able to run, with the Supports and Pros running together on this occasion, due to the reduced field.
There were, of course, still plenty of thrills and spills - John Elliott included this week! - but thankfully no injuries.
Ollie Sansom's return was rewarded with another overall win, as he took two out of the three wins on the day. He didn't have it easy, though, with Liam Cater hot on his heels. Unfortunately Liam lost his chain in the final race, in a dangerous position on the track, a situation which necessitated his recovery during the race by the Muddytrax ‘rescue crew'.
Second place overall in the Pro class was taken by Ray Walker.
Paul Schofield won the Support class. He's new to the scene but put in a brilliant performance to claim the victory.
Everyone had a great day with smiling faces all round and all are looking forward to the next round at Pale Lane on January 21.
