Scottish Pre-65 that's a wrap!

Following their Post Trial Review Meeting, the Edinburgh and District club's Committee for the Pre-65 Scottish Two Day Trial which was staged recently would like to thank Wines from Spain for their sponsorship support in 2010 and Dot Motorcycles legend Eric Adcock for being an excellent Guest of Honour.
The event has once again been hailed a huge success with the top places being fought out right to the end. The standard of riding was so close that a number of placings had to be decided by tie-breakers including the battle for the Premier award. Three riders finished their two days with just three marks lost, Paul Heys, Davy Morewood and Tony Calvert with last year's winner Heys just getting the nod after being the only rider to go clean on the opening day. The committee congratulates all riders who completed the event and especially those who made the effort to attend the presentation on Saturday evening to support the event and to collect their awards.
The committee has again unfortunately received several complaints from members of the public and landowners about the number of unauthorised bikes on the course, mostly enduro bikes being ridden irresponsibly with a few well-known faces who should know better amongst them. The use of the land around Kinlochleven is a valuable commodity to the event and without the kind permission of the landowners the club would not be able to hold the trial. The club appeal to those who think they are beyond the rules to stop and think about the consequences of their actions and not just their own selfishness. The land is NOT open to public access and just because the Scottish is on does not give everyone the right to ride where they like off-road.
There is still time to purchase genuine Scottish Pre-65 merch-andise at competitive prices and anyone interested can contact the Secretary at anne@fairshiels.fsnet.co.uk or via the link on www.ssdt.org.
Finally, if you are interested in entering the 2011 Pre-65 Scottish, entry forms will be available on www.ssdt.org on October 1, 2010.
Start counting the days...
