If youre a regular reader of TMX and we know that many of you are youll no doubt have caught the big news we broke a couple of weeks back that TMX has launched its very own mobile app. But if you missed out on that issue then let us fill you in...
TMX has been delivering a weekly dose of off-road news and race reports since 1977 with our award-winning newspaper but now we've found a way to constantly send a steady stream of news, gossip, images and video direct to your mobile device.
We've been working closely with our international app development team to help deliver the best off-road content experience. As far as we can tell it's the world's first off-road news app and the great news is that you can download it right now.
"We've always strived to bring the best news coverage across our various platforms,” says TMX digital editor Andrew Hill. "And with our news app we've worked hard to bring the same high standards that you find in our weekly but in an easy-to-use and free-to-download app.”
The mobile app will help the keenest of dirt fans keep updated daily on the latest news, club reports, results, informed opinion and get exclusive insights into the sport. There are also stacks of features and videos from around the world and we've made sure it looks great on both smartphones and tablets.
"I was a little nervous when we first launched the app,” admits Hill who is absolutely no relation to US SX stars
Justin or Josh. "We put a lot of work into its development and have done so much testing but even with all of that careful preparation you don't know what reaction you'll get until readers start using it.
"Thankfully it's gone down really well – it's rad. We've had a lot of positive feedback and we've also had our first reviews on the app store – they were good by the way. I'm stoked that so many people have downloaded it already.”
There's no need to wait for the weekend and you can check-in every day with TMX's app to catch up on the latest news from the world of off-road sport. It's easier to find, easier to read and easier to share.
"Sending out push notifications to let readers know what's on each weekend ahead has gone down really well,” reckons TMX lynchpin Mannix Devlin. "Once you've caught up with that you can scroll through the main articles and galleries or dig deep into the sections to find even more content on trials, motocross, enduro and much more.”
