With the final round of the ACU British Quadcross Championship at Milton MX Park cancelled due to track conditions, the 2012 Quad racing season is now over.

The KTM UK Team, managed by Richard Cole, can reflect on a successful year.

Bringing the team's championship winning tally to thirteen in only four years.

Seventeen-year-old Luke Cooper who was brought into the team to replace the injured James Hellewell, finished second in the British Championship and won the British Under-21 championship.

Riding the KTM 450 SX-F ATV, he was the only rider other than Paul Holmes to take a race win over the season.

Frazer McFadden finished first in the NETT support championship.

At only 15-years old, he is the youngest winner of an adult championship in the UK.

Frazer also finished fifth in the NORA MX Clubman class, despite missing two rounds out of the ten round championship.

Lukas Studeny, also 17, was drafted into the team to race the European Championships.

He had an excellent year for his first season in the class and got stronger as the year went on, finishing seventh overall and the first under 21.

He also won the Slovakian Championship and was second in the Czech Republic Championship.

Team manager, Richard Cole, said: "What a truly remarkable year. We've had our ups and downs with injuries, but the overall results have been fantastic.

"I just want to thank KTM UK and all our partners for all their support in 2012.”

Shaun Sisterson, KTM UK managing director, said: "2012 was the fourth year of our partnership with Richard Cole as manager of the team and the policy to find new talent is clearly working out.

"A great season of results, but obviously a big shame for James getting injured.”
