Thumping good move

BEN Hemingway has jumped ship from Beta's stroker to ride the new' Beta four-stroke machine. On Sunday, Ben (pictured left) rode the REV3 four-stroke that brother Dan has ridden through 2007.
Ben will run the 250 machine, importer John Lampkin's original slave test bike, through until next year, contesting Nationals and Centre events.
But Ben will drop down to the Expert category in the 2008 Colin Appleyard ACU British Championship series. John Lampkin alsoexpects a factory-kitted' 300cc version of the Beta thumper to arrivein January which Ben will appraise early - season to see if the increase in power and torque will suit his riding style.
One thing's for sure, Ben joins half a dozen riders who are sure to enjoy a season-long battle-royal in the Expert class.
