Who's for Milt' shake?

This weekend the ACU Maxxis British Championship resumes after a week's break. Good weather is on the cards and so is great racing!

Round four is the halfway stage and what better place to resume the action that the the new ëold' Milton Malsor Moto Parc.
The track has been around for nearly 25-years and has seen many practice laps from GP stars such as Rob Herring, Paul Cooper, Kelly Swanson, Jamie Dobb and Paul Malin. Motocross enthusiast and land-owner, Bob Jones, has helped a flurry of riders thought their GP career and Bob currently leases the land to the ACU for its activities and he also assists Jason Dougan's endeavours.

While the track has been revamped to improve the spectator experience and has had some exciting jumps added, the lap will be quite short and as a result there will be some interesting mobile ëchicanes'.

With watering already taking place the ACU Events team are sure to have the circuit in prime condition. After visiting Devon, Kent and East Anglia, it is now the turn of fans in the centre of England a taste of the ACU Maxxis British Championship action before the fifth round heads off to Northern Ireland in June.

Spectator bankings have been introduced making the most of Milton Malsors new design, bringing excellent viewing to the compact circuit. You cannot afford to miss the action this weekend and witness some truly great stars in six action-packed motos and two youth races all for £20.

In MX2 only three-points separate the Bike It Cosworth Wild Wolf Yamaha pairing of Zach Osborne and his Swiss team-mate, Arnaud Tonus. Between them they have won all nine-races so far, but the action has never been so close.

Fresh from the GP in Holland, Tonus was in superb form and he will be eager to take the ëred plate' back from Zach, but the American will want to stay as top dog.

Ray Rowson on the Samsung Yamaha and Elliott Banks Browne on the DB Honda will be keen to mix it at the top along with TAS Suzuki's Mel Pocock.

In MX1 2009 champion, Brad Anderson (PAR Honda) heads the table by 12-points thanks to his near maximum at the previous round. Brad has hit form at the right time and he will have had a boost of confidence after last week's double win at the Masters. However, Buildbase CCM riders, Stephen Sword and Tom Church are climbing back up the table and will be looking to take some wins at Milton.

Kristian Whatley has been a superb signing for Samsung Yamaha and he is looking to take the top step this weekend. Martin Barr also showed great speed in the sand at the Dutch GP last weekend and as top Brit there he will come to Milton with his tail up. Jason Dougan will be looking to take his Bike It Cosworth Wild Wolf Yamaha back to the top as he has had some bad luck recently, which has left him trailing in fifth spot in the standings. Last but not least round three of MXY2 series will see the up and coming stars on top form again at the Northampton track.

The action all takes place this Sunday, May 1, with timed qualifying commencing at 9am and the first championship race at 12.15pm.

The Milton Park circuit is easily reached from either junction 15 or 15a of the M1 Motorway, near Northampton.
