Yamaha will make an official return to the ACU British Championship in 2014 with an all-newtwo-man squad.

Former British Under-21 champion Stefan Murphy and 2012 NORA Expert champion George Callaway will be Yamaha's contracted riders and will use 2014 YFZ450Rs.

The team, which will race under the banner of Yamaha's leading UK dealer ATVs ‘R' Us, will also compete in the NORA MX championship as well as selected internationals, including the Bastonge, Pont de Vaux and the Weston Beach Race.

The team has already picked up support from Laeger's Racing (though the machines will use stock chassis), Yoshimura, Kenny and Motul, amongst others.

Duncan Irons, the owner of ATVs ‘R' Us, said: "We have supported George since the youth ranks, so he was a natural choice for the team.

"Plus, Stef has shown he has a lot of potential with his Under-21 British championship and beach race wins, so we think we have a very exciting team for this year.”

"This is the first time Yamaha has had an official team in UK quad racing for a number of years, so we see it is a very positive and exciting development for the sport,” he added.

The team's first official outing will be at the NORA MX championship opener at Mepal, Cambridgeshire on March 16.
