Arenacross Tour Thomas Ramette
The reigning Arenacross Champion goes in to the Grand Finale this weekend in second position behind fellow Countryman Cedric Soubeyras. Its no secret that theres little love lost between these two, so hows the youngster feeling heading for Wembley?
AX: How are you feeling going into Wembley?
TR: I feel good. I was dealing with food poisoning and flu during the last few weeks but now I'm 100%!
Last year the roles were reversed and I was leading by four points going into the final. I had a lot of pressure leading the points so I much prefer my position to Cedric's this year!
AX: How about the fact that there is only 3 points between you and Soubeyras?
TR: I have nothing to lose, it just can only get better...three points is really nothing especially with the double points at London.
AX: How confident are you that you can take the overall win?
TR: Starts will be the key for me once again. I have won five main events this year so I know how to win races but some racing "incidents" with Soubeyras have cost me a lot of points in the series. That is history though and I have enjoyed the fight back! It feels great to be so close in the series. I feel great on my bike and with my team. Everything is very positive for me.
AX: How have you enjoyed the series so far?
TR: I really enjoy riding in this series and putting on a show for the amazing fans when we have some really nice racing and perfect battles with Hansen, Izoird, Richier, some of the British guys and of course my team mate Cyrille Coulon. These have been the best moments as I live to race and racing with the best guys is amazing.
Make sure you're there to see if Thomas can retain the Pro Championship title, this Saturday night at The SSE Arena, Wembley.
