News Arenacross Arenacross Tour

The time has come for champions to be crowned as Wembley’s OVO Arena hosts the final stop of the 2024 ACU Arenacross British Championship, presented by Fix Auto, on Saturday, February 24. It’s been a barnstorming series so far with five riders topping the podium so far – Tommy Searle, Jack Brunell, Conrad Mewse, Harri Kullas and Cedric Soubeyras – with Brunell holding the red plate for the majority.

Heading into the Wembley double points shootout, Windsor native Brunell holds a commanding lead in the championship on his Stark Varg with his closest active competition 22 points in arrears and that’s Stark Future teammate Justin Bogle. It’s a wee bit tighter behind the US import though with inaugural champ Adam Chatfield, the much more chilled bad boy of AX, Ashley Greedy, and Frenchman Thomas Do who started the series on a Stark and then took over Tommy Searle’s Dirt Store Kawasaki ride after the champ got injured in Manchester. Our money is on Brunell taking series gold with the others fighting over the lower podium places. But what about on the night?

Titles are on the line when the gate drops on Saturday night

With Wembley being the last opportunity to bag a Main Event victory in 2024, well, unless AX Fest makes a triumphant return in the summer, you can guarantee that the action is gonna come thick and fast all night with places in the double-points-paying final at a premium and each on-track position hard fought for.

Riding in his backyard, you can guarantee that Brunell is going to want to win but at the same time, making sure he wins the championship has got to be the priority. Soubeyras has no pressure on his French shoulders but the Dirt Store Kawasaki fill-in – who got a little slap-happy in India recently – has experienced some fairly traumatic nights in Wembley previously and might well have PTSD. Will that affect his performance on Saturday night? We’ll have to wait and see.

Dylan Woodcock looked to be headed towards victory up until he suffered a concussion in Belfast which robbed him of the opportunity to race in Aberdeen and wrecked his championship challenge. He’s definitely got his mojo back now and would love nothing more to go out with a win.

The Fuel Girls are all set to entertain fans with their own style of high-octane action

As well as the Traxxas Pro show, the Pro-Am and youth competitors will be wrapping up their championships, while the high-flying FMX boys will be doing their thing as will the glamorous Fuel Girls who bring their own style of high-octane action to add to the Arenacross ambience.

You could win this bike simply by buying some classy official AX merchandise at this weekend's season finale

A bonus for AX fans who will be there at Wembley is an opportunity to win Tommy Searle’s Dirt Store Kawasaki race bike that he rode at round two in Manchester back in January. Each fan that buys some official AX Merch from the OVO Arena will be given a golden ticket and automatically entered into the draw to win the outgoing champion’s fully-pimped 2024 KX450. Tommy will then pick a winner, live in the second half of the show! How exciting is that!

And finally, just to reiterate what a great night of racing it will be, the line-up for the Wembley shootout is right here for your reading pleasure. Who’ve you got for the win?
