The 6DAYS® is coming home! Wales will host the 101st FIM International Six Days’ Enduro from September 13-18, 2027, with the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells serving as event headquarters.

More than four decades after Wales last hosted the legendary event in 1983, the world’s leading enduro riders will return to British soil for six days of competition, with around 500 competitors from more than 30 countries expected to take part.

Often described as the Olympics of motorcycling, the 6DAYS sees riders represent their nations in the battle for the World Trophy, Junior World Trophy and Women’s World Trophy. Club teams from around the world will also compete, making it a major gathering for the sport at every level.

The format is about much more than outright speed. Riders face hundreds of miles of varied terrain, special tests and strict time controls – while also having to maintain and repair their own machines within tightly controlled limits.

For British riders, the return to Wales offers a rare chance to compete for international honours on home soil, with local clubs expected to play a major role in delivering the event.

Hafren Dirt Bike Club, Dyfed Dirt Bike Club, CWAC Knighton, Builth Wells, WTRA, Saintswell and Rhayader are among the clubs expected to contribute their local knowledge and experience.

Away from the racing, organisers plan to create an event village with spectator activities, family-friendly entertainment, local food and drink, and opportunities to get closer to the action. The event is also expected to bring an international audience to Wales, providing a boost for local hospitality and tourism businesses.

The Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) will support the event, working alongside local clubs, volunteers, partners and stakeholders.

ACU Operations Director Steve Hall said: “Bringing the 6DAYS® back to Great Britain is something the enduro community has wanted for a very long time. This event is part of our sport’s heritage, and to welcome the world’s best riders back to Wales for the 101st edition is incredibly special.

“Wales has everything needed to deliver an outstanding 6DAYS®, from its incredible terrain and passionate motorcycle clubs to the people and communities who make this sport what it is.

“We want 2027 to be more than just a world-class race. We want it to be a celebration of enduro, an opportunity to showcase Wales to the world and an event that inspires the next generation of riders and fans.”

With the dates and venue confirmed, preparations are gathering pace. Further announcements on the event schedule, spectator opportunities, teams and activities are expected in the coming months.
