The 2025 ACU Dirtstore British Enduro Championship got underway at Lossiemouth in Scotland with an absolute belter put on by the Highland Enduro Club. Two tough days of classic timecard enduro action put the series registered riders to the test with Swede Mikael Persson (Triumph Factory Racing Team) taking top honours as he relished the sandy going. A double win ahead of teammate Jamie McCanney sees him carry a six-point lead into round two with PAR Homes GASGAS-mounted Jack Edmondson third in points after running 3-3 with Harry Edmondson (Fast Eddy Triumph) and Alex Walton (Jolly Enduro Team Triumph) rounding out the top five. Fantic’s Jed Etchells makes it an E1-class clean sweep of the top six with reigning champ Dan Mundell (KTM UK by Triple D Motosport) the first non-250F rider currently ranked seventh.

Nieve Holmes (KBS Sherco) did a similar demolition job in the Elite Women’s class taking both day wins ahead of TM UK’s Libby Tett. Yamaha-riding privateer Rheanna Morgan-Rogers sits third in the series standings with reigning champ Emily Hall currently fourth.

Two wins put Jack Keenan (Keenan Construction GASGAS) at the top of the Expert class ahead of Beta UK’s Fraiser Lampkin who placed second on both days. YORE’s Endaf Hughes sits third with KBS Sherco rider Ryan Burton fourth.

Bradley King leads the Expert Vet Over 35 class with maximum points, Connor Bolsover and Cynan Jones traded Clubman class day wins and fourths to lead the Clubman points chase. A topsy-turvy set of results in their wake see Jack Collins currently third in points.

Dylan Tinker and Jack Leonard each took a win and a second in the Clubman Youth division and topped the table ahead of Bodie Johns who finished fourth on both days.

It’s tight at the top of the juxtapositiontastic Clubman Women class with Ceri Jones and Chrissie Harcourt leading Holly Dennis by a single point. Harcourt won day one and was third on the second, Jones won day two and was third on the first while Dennis placed second on both. What a scrap!

Dan Johnson dominated the Clubman Over 40 class with Russell Millward doing the same in the Clubman Over 50 division.

Land issues have forced the cancellation of the third and fourth rounds of the series – the Brechfa Enduro scheduled to run on May 17/18 – meaning that the Hafren Enduro is next, running on June 7/8 out of Llanidloes Rugby Club.
