No EnduroGP round at Hawkstone Park

Enduro World Championship

It has been confirmed by the FIM that Paul Edmondson and his Fast Eddy events team have made a decision that Hawkstone Park will not host an Enduro World Championship round this season.

The change which sees Fast Eddy Racing drop the EnduroGP is being made in the hope of bringing in more riders at a planned bigger and better Hawkstone Park weekend.

Expectations were high for a repeat of last seasons EWC at Hawkstone Park in Shropshire but according to Paul, the Hawkstone Park event will run in September, but not as part of the EWC series.

The event date and venue doesn't change, still September 22-23 at Hawkstone Park, nor does Edmondson believe this will affect the quality of riders we can expect racing. In fact he believes quite the opposite. We want to bring in more riders in more classes and the quality of the racing over the weekend will be better for everyone, he said.

The Original Fast Eddy schedule will be a Saturday morning event for riders who want to experience the iconic venue and for riders who want to practice ahead of the three following events across the weekend.

Saturday afternoon will host the Fast Eddy Sprint event with Sunday seeing two XC races with Pro, Experts, Clubman and Vets running.
