Rounds seven and eight of the ACU GBXC British Sprint Championship are all set for an exciting climax on September 3/4 at the fantastic woodland venue of Westwood near Sheffield, postcode S75 3DL.

Moving ‘Up North' for the final rounds will see plenty of new local riders trying sprinting for the first time but it will be the more established riders who will contest the standings across all classes.

Factory Beta rider Steve Holcombe is a single point away from securing overall Championship victory and will undoubtedly be at his best around the woodland trails.

Competition is expected to be fierce across all classes with many of the class titles still up for grabs.

This Championship series has proved to be highly successful and well attended in its first full season under the ACU banner, attracting all the top UK Enduro riders, especially in the Championship class.

Emulating the BEC by splitting classes into E1, E2 and E3 has certainly helped many more riders to be successful and competitive against similar machines and other riders.

The event at Westwood has all the hallmarks of being the most competitive yet and organiser Paul Edmondson will be using his considerable experience to put on a course and an event worthy of a national Grand Finale.

Entries are now open and you can reserve your spot by calling 01543-370070 or 07889-924560.

Please note: The venue CANNOT be accessed by A616. Access is only via Carr Lane. Riders and spectators should exit the M1 junction 36 then take the A61 towards Sheffield. Take the first right turn, signed Tankersley and Pilley.

Follow the road to the bottom and turn left onto New Road. Follow this road for exactly 1.5 miles to the A616 underpass and turn immediately left into Westwood.
