ACU dates released

THE ACU has released the 2016 British Championship and National trials calendar which, bar a few inevitable tweaks, is pretty much as the year will unfold.
The RT Keedwell sponsored British Trials Championship will comprise nine rounds beginning with a two-day affair on the weekend April 16/17 courtesy of the Lakes Motorcycle Trial Association, presumably on the excellent Fell Green on the west Cumbrian coast.
The series again includes a Hookwoods/ Witley (Butser Limeworks?) double header on July 30/31 and the Championship will end with a brand new round organised by Tynemouth and DMC.
BTC will also once again include the British A Class Youth series with the class riding the Expert sections.
Sidecars, sponsored by Wessex Plant Hire (Bristol) take on an 11-round series also beginning with a double header starting with a trip to the Isle of Man in February for a Peveril club organised weekend.
Ladies and Girls, a series showing welcome growth and contenders can look forward to eight rounds which also includes a double-header with the North Eastern centre in control on August 6/7.
With Emma Bristow, Becky Cook and a rejuvenated Donna Fox ruling the World Championship this year there's every chance of some of the up and coming young ladies eagerly looking to follow in their footsteps making 2016 a landmark season for the series.
In all there's a grand total of 10 ACU series crammed in there somehow.

While inking-in your 2016 calendar don't forget that the British round of the Trial World Championship will take place at Nord Vue, Penrith, on the weekend of July 16/17.
And 2016 sees the first ever World Women's round staged in Britain included in the card.
Other prominent dates for your diary are: July 22-24 Reeth Three Day, August 20/21 North Berks Bonanza Supertrial, August 26/27 Manx Two Day, October 15/16 Lakes Two Day, October 22 Scott Trial.
