Adam's out of action

Former AX champ Adam Chatfield was back to his brilliant best in Belfasts Odyssey Arena for Friday nights second round of the 2015 tour and then was dumped back down to earth with a bang in practice the following day.
After hammering out a gate-to-flag win on the opening night he went down hard in the whoops on the last lap of Saturday's practice.
The impact displaced air from a lung into his chest and broke two ribs.
"I'm gutted,” said Adam,
"I went from hero to zero – the worst thing was I was riding so well and I think I was in with a good chance on Saturday.
"I don't know what happened – it was all over so quickly – but I think the bike hit me.”
After spending a couple of nights in hospital being monitored he was discharged but because of the nature of his injuries he was forced to travel home by car instead of flying.
"I'm not sure about the healing time. I think it all depends on how I'm feeling but to be honest I don't feel too bad.
"I won't be riding this weekend but hopefully I'll be back for the last few rounds.
"After missing last year's series with an injury it was nice to be back on top of the box and prove that I can still do it.
"The championship's gone now but I'd like a few more wins before the end of the series.”
