Alexz Wigg has just won the Youth 125 class of the British Round of the World Trials Championship. After collecting his new "07 PRO125 on Wednesday afternoon, Team Wigg prepared an awesome machine to win his home GP.
Alexz 'blitzed' the first lap with only 4 marks lost to have a healthy 11 mark lead over fellow Team JST Gas Gas UK rider, Sam Haslam in second.
With a few showers during the last lap Alexz made a few mistakes early in the lap which rattled his feathers a little. However, showing maturity he calmed himself down to keep his head on and finished the lap to total 31 marks lost for the day.
ALEXZ NOW LEADS THIS YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP BY 2 POINTS from Loris Gubian because in this class the riders can drop their two worst days from the championship.
Alexz must now keep the pressure on with two rounds to go in Andorra and Belgium.
Sam Haslam had an awesome day to finish second with a solid, ultra smooth ride.
Ross Danby, also Team JST GAS GAS UK finished 7th with two consistant lap scores.
Fellow GG teamsters, Craig Robinson and Robert Andrews finished 11th and 12th respectively.
Welldone to all and Good luck in Andorra on September 3rd !
