The Scott Amateur Nationals will combine a relaxed race series with some very competitive racing.
This new series, along with its brand new title sponsor, Scott, will provide an eight-race series comprising
two-day events with entertainment in the evenings and exciting racing during the days.
With two-strokes making a comeback at the moment, this meeting will offer all those stroker lovers a chance to do
battle, with a relaxed, laid-back format.
The organisers believe the series will attract all amateurs who want to have fun racing.
The series will also offer Veteran and Ladies' classes, giving families the chance to all race on the same day.
"After being a pro-motocross rider for ten years, I retired and started work for Scott USA as a sales manager,”
explains Alex Rach (pictured above in his racing days).
"Last year I raced a 250cc two-stroke as an amateur and really enjoyed it. I had loads of fun and enjoyed being around great guys who loved the sport they do for fun!
"So this year I have teamed up with Darren Hudson to run the Scott Amateur Nationals.
"This will use tracks all around the UK on some of the best and most famous tracks Britain has to offer – FatCat,
Mepal, Hawkstone Park, Brampton, Condover, Farleigh Castle, Doncaster Moto Park and Long Lane.
"We aim to offer riders a chance a great family weekend.”
The series has classes for 125cc Two-stroke, 250cc/ Open Two-stroke, MX1, MX2, Vets, Ladies and Open Junior.
Title sponsor Scott is freportedly putting a lot into this series.
"It's for all abilities and ages and our goal is to have great racing and return home safely,” said Alex.
