AMA: Barcia is out

Team Honda Muscle Milk's Justin Barcia was unable compete at the weekend's Thunder Valley National due to a foot and ankle injury.It was hoped that Barcia would be return to the series, however the latest news is that he will miss the remaining rounds of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season as he will be undergo surgery to correct a chronic ankle issue later this week.
Justin said "I'm so bummed because I felt that I was getting comfortable on the bike and was gaining momentum. I've consulted with several doctors and they all agree that this surgery is the only way to fix the problem.”
Justin added, "I cannot wait to ride without pain and I will do everything I can to come back with a vengeance. I would like to thank all my sponsors who have been great during this difficult time and I want to assure my fans that I'll be back better than ever.”
