AMA: Stewart remains positive

Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racings James Stewart remains positive after round seven of the 2014 AMA Pro Motocross Championship at the Budds Creek National in Mechanicsville.
Stewart started off on a solid note, qualifying fastest on his Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 in practice and receiving his first Oakley Bomb Award of the season. In the first moto, he got a mid-pack start but quickly worked his way through the field and up to fifth. By the end of the moto, he was within striking distance of fourth. In the second moto, Stewart got a better start and was running in fourth, but a little more than halfway through the moto he suffered a get-off and retired early.
"The day started good,” said Stewart. "We had a lot of speed in practice and this was the first race this year where I qualified fastest. In the first moto, I got a bad start but was able to come back to fifth. In the second moto, I got a good start but as the moto went on, I was just really struggling. I'm not really sure what happened, but we have some things we need to work on before next weekend. So thanks to the Yoshimura Suzuki team for all their hard work and we'll regroup and come back and see if we can make something happen at Millville.”
The next round of the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross is this Saturday, July 19 at the Spring Creek National in Millville.
