Rockstar IceOne Husqvarna will race the 2017 Hawkstone Park International on February 5 with Max Anstie, Max Nagl and Gautier Paulin.
"We will be in Spain for pre-season testing in the New Year and we will then participate in the races of Redsand,” said IceOne's Antti Pyrhonen. "After that we race Hawkstone and Lacapelle Marival.”
Anstie, a firm favourite wherever he races, is eagerly anticipating racing the 450 on home turf.
"I am really looking forward to racing at the Be Wiser International at Hawkstone Park again,” he said. "I love riding at home and it is a fantastic track. I'm feeling good so far with testing and have done a bit of riding on the 450. Things are positive and I can't wait to get going with the season now.”
The three races in Spain, Shropshire and France run parallel to the Internazionali d'Italia this year so it seems likely that the opening GP in Qatar on February 24/25 will be the first confrontation of all the leading teams and riders.
It's looking increasingly likely that the Italian series will play host only to the Italian teams. Promoter Off-Road Pro Racing has confirmed HRC Gariboldi with Tim Gajser and Evgeny Bobryshev, De Carli KTM with Tony Cairoli and Glenn Coldenhoff, Rinaldi Yamaha with Romain Febvre and Jeremy Van Horebeek for the three-round series.
We're still waiting on confirmation of where Jeffrey Herlings will prepare but clearly Stefan Everts will be taking his Suzuki crew to Redsand for starters and has already confirmed a full turn-out at Hawkstone.
Kawasaki is also expected to follow the Spain/UK/France route.
