Aussie lads storming European motocross

So far this year - laying down some outstanding shows on the MX2 world stage - 17-year-old new Suzuki signing Hunter Lawrence has suggested hes destined for really great things.

That said, Aussie Hunter has a younger brother coming up through the ranks that not too many might have heard about just yet. I say just yet, because 14-year-old Jett Lawrence has all the making of a future world star too.

As brothers up to the end of the 2015 season they had totalled 11 Australian championships between them.

But after travelling to Europe for the World Junior finals three times from 2011, it was obvious Europe was the place be racing.

In 2011 Hunter grabbed a fifth place overall finish in the 65's held in Italy that year, he then finished as runner up to Conrad Mewse in the 2013 World 85's, running a 4-1 show in the Czech Republic.

Jett won the 2014 World Junior 65's title in Belgium, going 1-2, and in 2015 at the Spanish World Finals Hunter claimed  a podium third in the 125's.

At the end of that year and after somewhat falling in love with the European racing scene the family made the big move to re-locate to Europe on a permanent basis. That decision was made after once again sweeping the board in the Aussie championships and with an offer from Monster Energy Kawasaki to be a part of their new European Youth structure for 2016.

There was just one season for the brothers riding the green machine  - then last September Suzuki head honcho and ten times world champion, Stefan Everts came along with an offer a deal too good to turn down. Settling down in Belgium not too far from the Suzuki base both boys are signed on two year contracts.

At the beginning of March  Jett's first big test of the year came at Herde in the opening ONK championship round.  Gaining pole position in qualification then topping the podium after winning both races it simply couldn't have gone any better for Jett in debut show.

At round two last weekend it was exactly the same story at Axel, except for the fact Jett was winning by much greater margins. Four wins from four races and it's all to easy to say he was Jett propelled, watch out for him as the season goes on.
