Ben Hooks a winner

A fantastic entry assembled at Hook Woods Trials Centre, West Horsley, for the Worthing club's annual Brian Fowler National Trial.
The clerks of the course made a fantastic job of the 12 very challenging sections which were tackled three times in very wet conditions. The roads around West Horsley and Guildford were flooded in the morning but it didn't stop the riders turning up and enjoying what was probably the best national the club has run to date.
Section one was up across a greasy log on to a rock step with a tricky exit up over a big tree stump. Andy Blackman took a nasty looking tumble when his front wheel got caught on a jagged rock.
The two lady riders on the Expert route, Becky Cook and Emma Bristow were happy to escape with a two. The first clean of the day came from Worthing's James Fry on the MRS Sherco followed by Ben Morphett and French visitor Leo Giordano. Harriet Shore got twisted up across the log on the Blue route but dusted herself off and no damage was done.
