The long rumoured return to UK shores of British fan favourite, Billy Mackenzie, has beenconfirmed following a deal struck between the popular Scottish rider and the establishedracing partnership of Kawasaki Motors UK and its official motocross squad, Maxxis Henderson LPE Kawasaki.

Riding first in his native Scotland at the upcoming Duns round of the Maxxis British Championship, 27-year-old Mackenzie will run out of the LPE awning alongside his cousin, Bryan, who already rides for Steve James' highly respected squad.

Running his own engine and suspension spec on the LPE maintained KX450F, the flying Scotsman will ride in the colours of his current Monster Energy Kawasaki team. Naturally, Billy hopes that any success at Duns will act as a springboard for his following outing at the British GP and possibly even a place on the UK team for the upcoming Motocross des Nations. Ending his season 'down under' among the top three in the Australian National Championship, Mackenzie riding in the UK is an exciting prospect according to Ross Burridge, the company's Racing Coordinator.

"If Billy can translate his current Australian success to UK soil, the fans are in for a treat. I think all Kawasaki fans hope that he can build race by race and resume his status as one of the UK's premier MX talents. Certainly the prospect of both him and Bryan running out of the same awning is something that is going to delight their supporters as much as it will daunt the opposition.

"Billy is equally enthusiastic about his return to UK shores saying: "I'm really enjoying the prospect of coming back to the UK, and having the opportunity to race both in the British Championship and also the British GP. It will be awesome to catch up with friends and family too.

" I can't wait to get in front of the British crowd again at such a great track as Matterley Basin, and if there was a chance to ride for Britain at the 'Nations also, that would be mega – bring it on!"
