British Motocross Championship
The ACU Motocross Committee are pleased to announce that following the well supported Ladies Class that ran alongside the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship at Lyng in April, an ACU
British Championship will take place in 2020.
For the 2020 season there will be a one round ACU British Ladies Championship that will run alongside a round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship. The class will feature three
races of 15 minutes plus one lap.
At the end of the event there will be a 2020 ACU British Ladies Motocross Champion crowned, who will be awarded their title at the annual ACU Awards evening held alongside champions from Motocross and all other disciplines held under the ACU.
Commenting on behalf of the ACU Motocross Committee, Andrew Hay said: "The profile and awareness of womens sport generally has increased greatly in recent years. Following the success of the Ladies MX support class at Lyng this year, the Motocross Committee want to showcase Ladies motocross in the UK by introducing an ACU British Championship title that will be competed for at one of the best tracks in the country as part of the elite Maxxis British Championship series.
"We know some of the ladies may have wished for a series of races but we want to take one step at a time. If the event continues to be well supported we are confident that ACU Ladies Motocross will continue to grow in the UK.
